Time for more Evan-isms!

1.  We were driving around and Evan was being silly, singing along to his “Veggie Tales” CD.  I looked at him and said,

“Oh Evan, you crack me up!!”  To which he replied,

“No I don’t, Mommy.  You’re not an EGG!”

2.  Again, in the car I was kind of getting tired of the endless “Veggie Tales” CD’s.  So, I said

“Hey, can we listen to MY music?”  To which Evan replied

“No.  You’re music is WEIRD!!”

3.  Finally, I wrote this on facebook, but Evan has recently decided to start calling me “big, giant Mommy!”.  He will say it over and over and then laugh hysterically.  Today at lunch I tried to teach him to call me something else.  More like, “Tiny, princess Mommy”.  We’ll see if that sticks or not.  🙂

My sweet boy…

My sweet Evan has a gift.  He has a heart of gold, can sense so much, and is so so loving.  Today I was feeling a little overwhelmed by life right now.  So I laid down on the floor where they were playing,  just to have a ‘moment’. 

Evan immediately came over and said, “What’s wrong Mommy?”

I didn’t want to worry him, so I said  “Well, my tummy hurts a little buddy”.

He said, “But Mommy, God loves you.  He doesn’t want you to be sad.”

Ahhh.  That’s where the tears came in.  Who knew that God can even use a 3-year-old boy to give you comfort when you need it most….
